Write, Retreat, Publish
Hi friends!
I am in the process of planning my next book and this one involves some audience participation! I am seeking 12 writers of color to join me in writing a fantasy anthology book, which will culminate in a transformative retreat in Morocco in January 2026!
Your story can be about anything as long as it is rooted in fantasy and has a powerful life lesson entangled throughout it.
These stories will not be retellings of any myths or fables you have heard before. I am looking for something completely NEW! A new generation of bedtime stories, myths, and tales that will be shared amongst future generations.
Important Details:
Retreat Requirement: As part of this project, all selected writers will join me at the retreat in Marrakesh, Morocco, in January 2026. Attendance at this retreat is mandatory for participation in the anthology.
At the retreat, we’ll finalize stories, bond as a creative community, and celebrate this incredible journey together with yoga, ceremonies, authentic cuisine, cultural storytelling, and more in a stunning beachfront setting
Submission Guidelines:
Open to writers of color of any age and location.
Submit a sample of your fantasy writing (short story, poem, book excerpt, or essay) that best showcases your creative artistry. Limit: 3 pages max.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS MAY 25TH, 2025
This will be an exciting journey for all of those intuitively involved. I have had fantastic visions of this creation in my mind’s eye and I am eager to call in the team that will be join me to birth this creation.
